Community Service at Frico Horse Park
Frisco Horse Park is an approved facility with the City of Plano, for those who have been appointed community service hours by the courts. (We are currently awaiting approval from the City of Frisco.)

We also offer work to those wanting to add hours to their resumes, college transcripts, or just wanting to help out! Duties include everything from cleaning stalls to picking up debris & trash to cleaning the ranch house. This is not only a great way to further help a charitable cause, but it is also a learning experience.

Please call the office to make sure you are approved to complete your hours with us.  Certain offenses are not allowed such as any type of felony, theft & repeat violence offenders. All volunteers must dress appropriately while at on the charity’s property: no short shorts, no overly low cut shirts, no t-shirts with immoral sayings/logos, hair must look neat, no i-pods (you need to hear if something in your immediate surroundings suddenly changes, i.e. horses getting out, kicking, farm equipment comin’ through, etc.), wear boots & come ready to work.  You may not discuss inappropriate topics & you are expected to act respectfully at all times while completing the assigned tasks.  You will not be credited for your hours if you do otherwise.

Age to do Community Service Hours is 15. There is a lot of responsibility working at a ranch and we feel having teens working under this age is not beneficial to us or the teenager. If they are 10 - 14 and have an adult supervising & working along with them at all times, they may come.

Before beginning your community service hours, you MUST attend an Orientation/Training Meeting. Community Service Orientation/Trainings are held on either Thursday evenings or Sunday afternoons.  Please call to confirm the day, dates & times.  It will vary according to what works best with our schedule & with the majority of the new volunteers schedules that are signed up to attend.  You will receive community service hours for the Orientation/Training.

Please call or email to have your name added to the list for the upcoming meeting. Please bring all the Community Service forms filled out ahead of time plus the Rider Information & Waiver form. (All Waivers MUST be signed by the parent if under 18).

Please click on the "Forms" link or below for all the necessary paperwork to bring with you on your first day. We request that you call us ahead of time to let us know when you are coming in, so we can put you on the schedule.
